More than a companion site for Australian’s top-selling technology magazine, PC User’s web site is dedicated to bringing you the latest technology reviews, news, downloads, help and tips. Just as importantly, we strive to a foster a supportive community in which readers help each other with technical problems and questions..
From the start, when the magazine launched in 1989, Australian PC User has been all about helping readers buy and use their computers. The technology world has exploded since then, and PC User has adapted to cover the latest mobile and home entertainment gear, as well as PCs and small business tech products. However, some things have stayed constant. Our aim at PC User has remained the same – to provide the best, most practical tech advice, reviews and tutorials. Most of our writers have been with the magazine for 10-20 years too, which means we can boast one of the best and most experienced writing teams in the world.
At PC User, we’ve always prided ourselves in the quality and independence of our editorial. We take the trust our readers place in us very seriously. Perhaps not surprisingly then, PC User has been Australia’s top-selling technology magazine for the past decade.
However, we don’t believe in resting on our laurels. Innovation is a key part of PC User’s heritage. In the mid ’90s, PC User was the first Australian magazine to offer subscribers a monthly CD, and one of the first to have a web site. More recently, we’re the only magazine to have developed our own benchmarks – our UserBench suite – and to create our own software and video guides for the cover DVD.
As a visitor to this web site, you benefit from PC User’s heritage, expertise and resources with the site’s Update section featuring the best-quality reviews, news, tips and, occasionally, PC User’s exclusive software. We encourage you to participate positively in our community, by commenting on our posts, and asking and answering technical questions. With your feedback, you can help us provide even more relevant content to you.
If you like what you find on this site, you’ll find even more comprehensive product comparisons and in-depth guides in the monthly PC User magazine. You’ll also find exclusive software, playable game demos, video guides and more on each edition’s cover DVD.
PC User magazine is available at all good Australian newsagents and supermarkets, and selected New Zealand retail stores. If you live in other countries or want to ensure to receive every issue, you can subscribe to PC User.
Australian PC User is published by ACP Magazines Ltd, Australia’s largest magazine publisher and a part of the media group, Nine Entertainment Co..
