how to increase volume in Android tablet

I have a Flytouch 3 Android (2.3) tablet and the playback volume, especially for video is very low. Is there any way I can boost the volume? The volume control is already at Maximum.

If you can't get any more volume out of the tablet, that's presumably all there is. (Mainly to do with the size of the speakers and design battery life.)

Options I can think of include:

1) Use headphones
2) Plug an external amplifier/speakers into the headphone socket/
3) If the tablet supports Bluetooth, get an external Bluetooth speaker system.

One possible solution might be an Android app. The output level is set internally within the Android OS and for *some* devices, it is adjustable. There a few apps that enable you to boost the set maximum level but -

*** WARNING - I can't guarantee these will work with your device or even work at all. I've seen reports/claims from some user of one app blowing up his earphones so try them at your own risk. I've not used them so don't blame me if they turn your tablet into a molten mess. ***

Some apps require root access, others don't but it may work in your instance:

ALL THAT SAID, your tablet may just have inefficient speakers, in which case, trying to increase the volume will simply push them closer to blowing up anyway. You could try re-encoding your videos and boosting the audio signal (there are some apps to do that - most of our PC User video tools offer this option) but that may not help if the speakers aren't much chop.

Cheers, Darren.
