Hi guys,

Am hoping you might be able to help me with ripping my dvds.

I'm using Xilisoft DvD Ripper Ultimate 5 and simply want to know what the best way to 'rip' the dvd to my computer so I can watch it on my pc but also plug my Hard Drive into the tv and watch as well. I have other files that are MKV and seem to work on both devices but can't seem to find 'mkv' in Xilisoft. So basically I want the best way to retaining DVD quality but so I can watch on both PC and TV.

In electronics stores, I see '3D ready' home theatre systems, and blue ray players. I guess you would need something to decode the dual images and send a signal to the 3D glasses. If you have a 3D tv , do you need the other bits to be '3d ready'.

Alternatively, if you have a high frame rate , HD tv , could you get the necessary signals from a '3D ready' blueray player and be able to show 3d on the existing screen.

The stores make it clear that the average salesman does not have a clue.

Does anyone know a free video editing software that is easy to use?
