Hi, Anyone know which issue of the mag last year had a guide on how to build a PC from scratch?

Hello guys, i wanted to know (again) if a 60GB SSD is enough for the following (i really need someone to clarify this for me:

i. I will only be installing Windows 7 Home Premium which i think is only around 20GB, more or less
ii. essential apps e.g. java, Microsoft Office, dvd burner software, antivirus, you get the idea. I am pretty sure that will all be a maximum of 5-7GB.
iii. Combat Arms, which is a game, and roughly takes up around 4GB

Memory: 512MB PC3200 DDR
ATI Radeon X300 SE PCI-Express with 128MB DDR
Hard Drive: 160.0GB 7200RPM Serial ATA
Windows XP
The motherboard manufacturer is MSI, motherboard MS-7093, Albacore-GL6E, socket 939

It probably no longer handles the latest components. I would like to use it as a multimedia PC when not using my laptop, but I think I've neglected it for too long. Any advice would be really helpful.

Hello everybody, i am wondering which graphics card i should get, either the ASUS AMD Radeon 6870 DirectCU or the MSI nVidia gtx 560 Twin Frozr II/OC. I am quite stuck on which to get. They are both the same price ($218) at Centrecom.com.au.

I wish to upgrade my motherboard, cpu,ram, sound card and possibly graphics card. I only use it to surf the net,word processing,email,working on photos in Gimp,designing logos in Pageplus and hopefully getting a web site together. Budget around $500.00 Thank you, Jon.

Which brand is better?

Does anybody a good AMD or Intel Laptop with a 500GB HDD, 4GB of Ram and Web Cam for $800 or less.
