Hi, I am not a gamer but have a built a pretty fast machine so that I can game in the future. (Intel 2600k SSD 8G Ram Windows 7 64 bit etc)
I am using Intel graphics at this stage but have bought Crysis 2 to look at it. It seems to run fine, but my question is, what am I missing without a video card, and what is the minimum I should buy to notice a difference,
Thanks,
Terry

You will know soon enough when you require one until then don't fix what's not broken as that keeps the money in your pocket for a rainy day.

As for gaming in the "future", that changes everyday with computers and all things no pun intended.

Hey Terry, I agree with Frank here. Do not fix what ain't broken. If games like Crysis 2 run fine on your machine, upgrading at this point is pointless.

On the other hand, if you wanted to get into serious gaming asap, defiantly upgrade your card. But please shop around for this like, Graphics cards, Video cards RAM etc to get the best deals possible.

Some people don't like to use on-line services like Ebay for buying hardware as there are times where you will probably get a dodgy product, hence wasting your time and money and a lot of messing around to fix the problem.

You are probably not missing out on a whole lot Terry, but I suggest that if gaming is going to be a more permanent hobby, defiantly start doing some research now to find the best hardware components at decent prices.

Hope this helps Terry. Happy Computing.

Brendon.
