Hi,
I go to a particular forum regularly and about a fortnight ago the font suddenly reduced in size as a result this site is hard to read, I am using a laptop and there is no options to increase the resolution and it is that groups forum...as an example of what I mean, this PC User site, the smallest font is about is at least double the size of this forums.
Any ideas????
Thanks.

Have you tried using yuor zoom function? You should be able to double the size of the words using this.
I have a similar problem when accessing the HP website for drivers and manuals etc - the type is so small that I have to use the zoom function in IE9 to be able to read the information. So you're not the only one with the problem - no answer from me though only comiseration.
Try the Text Size option in the View menu of IE9, it might be on Smallest instead of Medium or Larger.
What will definitely work is the Magnifier in Accessories, Ease of Access.
Have you tried using + to increase the size of the fonts on the forum web page?
Ctrl + will Zoom, but for Text size kbrd shortcut it is
Alt, V, X, M for medium or L for large.
You're correct, ctrl + or - will zoom or reduce the page.
Desdichato's posting indicates that the small text doesn't occur on all web pages but doesn't mention brand of browser however changing text size is a global setting for all pages.
In Chrome, I've noticed that the zoom setting is localised to the page open when zooming and the zoom setting will remain cached on closing the page and even reopening the site in a new window. Open another window or tab into another sites web page and the view is normal. I think Mozilla Firefox works in a similar way.
If you need to change the text font size in Chrome, it has to be adjusted by entering:
>settings > advanced
>Under the hood
>Web Content
>Font size: Customize fonts...select size from the drop down list - Very Small to Very Large
