Could you now tell me how to lock a text box in Publisher 2007 and/or 2010? I have been told how to do it in Word, but it appears there are some other steps needed to do this in Publisher. I neglected to mention this in my first post.

Hi Graham. Assuming you don't want to touch or edit the text box at all: Click on View —> Master Page and insert the text box (or WordArt or anything else you don't want to touch during day-to-day editing) on to the Master Page. Then go to View —> Normal to edit the rest of the newsletter.
Is that what you've got in mind?
