user os 12.03 install problem

Hi Darren,Version 11.04 did not like my Sony Vaio 2.4/512/30gb, "did not meet minimum system requirements" message,accessed program once then it dropped out.
Several installs, same result.
New 12.03 won't install at all,the install bar keeps traversing the screen forever,if I hit enter I get the big error message.
Sony previously had WinXP, and now I have installed Win7 to test the unit, it works Ok.
Any hints please,

G'day, I have a similar issue. My first attempt failed because it indicated a problem reading the disk. I have since burnt more copies but same result as Ross, it just sits there forever.
