A reader asked the question in your Feb 12 issue - how could he capture stills from his home DVD

I believe this can be simply done by playing the video (any Media Player should work) - pausing where he wants the still - then capturing as much of the screen as he wants using Windows 7 Snipping Tool and saving the snip as a *.jpg file.

Hi Jan Play your DVD on your computer using VLC Player/SMplwyer both have snapshot buttons to click to get your stills.
