Hi guys I am looking at building a new PC and would like to read up on the lastest spec's as Im a bit rusty, I have become a subscription reader and have some old Pcuser mags around somewhere I am interested in this SSD drive and Motherboard to go with it etc... and would like to read more so any sugestions would help I am also interested in Ubuntu as a OS as my old one is XP (I have XP disk)I have a laptop that runs win7 as a backup computer and a 1Tb external drive Also is there anyway to access old Pcuser info online? Thanks for your help Jen

Hi Jen. As a subscriber, did you receive PC User's February edition? Although aimed largely at DIY upgraders, there's plenty of advice on what specs to look for when buying a new PC, or having one built for you. There's also a feature on budget SSDs in our March issue. Good luck!

Thanks Glenn for your reply and yes I do have those Mag's and I read them every day but the more I read the more confused I get... but saying that I am narrowing my selection down with a heap of research and time which I have these days as my Comp stopped working (I'm on my laptop) and Im just waiting for a new HDD to arrive.... any day now..... and if the new HDD dosen't fix it then Im up for a whole new system hence the inquiry about SDD Maybe you could write an article "SDD for Dummies" :)
