I am using Windows Live Mail 2009 and Windows 7. What is the best way to back up my emails? There are no email folders in My Documents so they aren't being backed up when I do my normal backups. I can't even seem to find where they are stored. Googling the issue brings up programs like KLS Mail Backup. Your help would be much appreciated. Thank you.






In Live Mail go to the menu on the left of the Home tab.
Choose Options, Mail, Advanced tab, Maintenance, Store Folder.
That's the location of the mail folders (except Contacts).
You can change that to another partition or drive if needed, such as space issues on an SSD.
To back them up you'd have to show hidden files first.
