Registration instructions

How to install and register the full versions on PC User's cover disc
You'll find instructions on how to register each full version below. To install each full version, go back that program's page on PC User's cover disc, scroll down and click on the program's installation button.

Warning:
Please register the full versions as soon as you can, because the software companies' registration sites are active for a limited time only. Also, be sure to save or print out the registration codes and keep them in a safe place, so that you have the codes on hand if you have to reinstall the software in the future.

August 2010

Ashampoo WinOptimizer 6
Ensuring you are connected to the internet, install WinOptimizer 6 from the PC User cover disc – during the installation process make sure "Get full version key" option is checked, and your web browser will go straight to the registration site. Here, enter a valid email address in the form provided. A registration code will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Then launch WinOptimizer 6. You'll be greeted with a registration splash screen – just click on the "Enter Key" option, add the code from the email, click Check Code and your full version will be unlocked. (This splash screen also gives you the option to get the full version registration key, if you missed this option during installation).

NovaPDF Lite 7.0
Install NovaPDF Lite from the PC User cover disc, then click here to go to NovaPDF registration web page and fill in the form using a valid email address. A registration code will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Follow the instructions in the email to register your product. Go to Windows' Printers and Faxes settings, right click 'novaPDF Lite v7.0' and select Printing Preferences. In the 'novaPDF Lite v7.0 Printing Preferences' window select the About tab, then the Register button. In the 'Register' window, copy and paste the registration code from the email you have received. Once you do so, your full version will be unlocked.

B-free Accountants Plus
Click here to go to the B-free registration web page and complete the registration details. Make sure to enter a valid email address in the form provided. A registration code will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Download the small B-free application as directed by the web page, and install it. Then launch B-free and you will be greeted with a registration splash screen – enter the code from the email and complete the online registration process. Remember that B-free is an online application, so you will need to be connected to the internet to use it.

PC User YouGrab 3 and Ubuntu 10.04
No registration required. Just install the software from the PC User cover disc, and enjoy!

July 2010

Ashampoo Home Designer 1
Ensuring you are connected to the internet, install Ashampoo Home Designer 1 from the PC User cover disc – during the install process you will see a dialog with a link to "Get free full version licence now". Click this and your web browser will go straight to the registration site. Here, enter a valid email address in the form provided. A registration code will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Now run Home Designer 1, select the box which says "Enter your licence key here", then Activate Now and follow the instructions.

Bullguard Internet Security 9
Ensuring you are connected to the Internet, install Bullguard Internet Security 9. When you run the program the first time you will see a dialog inviting you to Register the software. Enter a valid email address and password in the form provided and click Register.

QuickBooks 2010/11
If you have QuickBooks already installed on your computer, please ensure you back up your data file now. Click here to go to the QuickBooks registration site and select which version of QuickBooks 2010/11 is most suited to your business: EasyStart, Plus or Premier. Once you have selected the version of QuickBooks 2010/11 most suitable, click on the 'free trial' button for that version. Complete your details, ensuring you enter a valid email address, then select the 'Download Trial' button. This will then display your Trial Key which you will need for the QuickBooks installation. The Trial Key will also be sent to the email address you added to the registration form. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). There's no need to download the trial version from the QuickBooks web site – simply switch back to the July PC User cover disc and install QuickBooks from there. Follow the installation instructions, and enter in the Installation Key Code when prompted.

LP Recorder 8.8 and PC User RockPad
No registration required. Just install the software from the PC User cover disc, and enjoy!

Hurry!
Please register the full versions quickly, because we cannot provide codes after the registration sites have expired. Don't forget to save or print out the registration codes and keep them in a safe place.

June 2010

Ashampoo Photo Commander 7
Ensuring you are connected to the internet, install Ashampoo Photo Commander 7 from the PC User cover disc – during the install process you will see a dialog with a link to "Obtain your free Full Version Code". Click this and your web browser will go straight to the registration site. Here, enter a valid email address in the form provided. A registration code will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Now run Photo Commander 7 and select the "Enter the Code you Received button" – you may need to locate this from the Internet menu by choosing "Switch to Full Version for free", enter the code into the dialog and click OK.

PC Tools File Recover 7.5
Click here to go to this month's PC Tools registration web page and enter your details in the registration form, ensuring you enter a valid email address, then click "Request Free License". An email from PC Tools detailing your licence name and code will be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Now install PC Tools File Recover from PC User's June cover disc, then run the program and click the "Register" button. When prompted, enter the name and code from your registration email and click OK.

Serif DrawPlus 7
First, install Serif DrawPlus 7 from the PC User cover disc. Then, make sure you are connected to the Internet, and when you launch Serif DrawPlus a spash screen will prompt you to register. Just click on the Register Now button and fill in your details and click Continue. Make sure you enter a valid email address because your registration key will be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). When you receive the email with the registration code, open it and copy the key from the email and paste it into the box on the DrawPlus splash screen and click Continue.

May 2010

PC Tools Registry Mechanic 8
Click here to go to this month's PC Tools registration web page and enter your details in the registration form, ensuring you enter a valid email address, then click "Request Free License". An email from PC Tools detailing your licence name and code will be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Now install PC Tools Registry Mechanic 8 from PC User's May cover disc, then run the program and click the "Register" button. When prompted, enter the name and code from your registration email and click OK. Hurry! Be sure to register as soon as possible to get maximum value from this software licence, as this version of Registry Mechanic will expire on May 4, 2011.

Xequte DigiAlbum 6.0
First, install DigiAlbum 6.0 from the PC User cover disc. Then, click here to go to the registration page on Xequte's website, locate the DigiAlbum 6.0 section on the page and click the 'Request Key' button. Fill in your details into the online form, ensuring you enter a valid email address because your registration key will be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). When you receive the email with the registration code, open it and click on the link to the web site contained in it. Here you will see your free key which you should copy and paste into the DigiAlbum registration dialog which you'll find by selecting Help > About > Enter Key. Paste the registration key into the box and type the same email address as you used earlier. The full version of DigiAlbum 6.0 should now be unlocked.

Ashampoo Uninstaller 2010
Ensuring you are connected to the internet, install Ashampoo Uninstaller 2010 from the PC User cover disc. Once the install process is complete your web browser will go straight to Ashampoo's registration site. Here, enter a valid email address in the form provided and click Send. A registration code will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Now launch Ashampoo Uninstaller 2010, select Enter Key in the dialog box that appears, enter the code that was emailed to you and click Save Key.

PC User TVrip
No registration required, just install from our cover disc and enjoy!

April 2010

MyHeritage Family Tree Builder 4
Ensuring you are connected to the Internet, install My Heritage Family Tree Builder from the PC User April DVD. Once installed, run the application and, when prompted with the registration splash screen, click Register Now. A product registration window will appear – fill in the required details, read and accept the terms and conditions of use. At the foot of the second screen click the Finish button. You will see a dialog confirming that you have registered your version of Family Tree Builder and you can now use it.

B-free MoneyManager
Click here to go to the B-free registration web page and complete the registration details. Make sure to enter a valid email address in the form provided, because a registration code will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). This same site contains a link for you to use to download the software. Do this and install it. Then launch B-free and you will be greeted with a registration splash screen. Even if you already have another B-free product installed you must click Register here and register with a new (different) user name. Enter the code from the email and go ahead and complete the online registration process. Once this is done you can use the appliction. Remember that this is an online application, so you will need to be connected to the web to use it.

Ashampoo Magical Defrag 2
Ensuring you are connected to the Internet, install Magical Defrag 2 from the PC User April DVD. Once installed, run the application and your Web browser will go straight to the registration site. If it doesn't make sure to click the "Obtain a FREE full version key" link. When you go to the Ashampoo site, enter a valid email address in the form provided. A registration code will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Then launch Magical Defrag 2. You'll be greeted with a registration splash screen -- just click on the "Enter Key" option, add the key from the email, click OK and your full version will be unlocked. (This splash screen also gives you the option to get the full version registration key, if you missed this option during installation).

March 2010

Ashampoo Office 2008
Ensure you connected the internet so you can register during installation. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the following file on the PC User cover disc:

D:\software\full\Ashampoo Office 2008\ashampoo_office_2008_3.10_6416.exe
(where D: is your DVD drive).

Clicking on this file will install Ashampoo Office 2008 -- make sure "Get full version key" is checked during installation, and your Web browser will go straight to the registration site. Here, enter a valid email address in the form provided. A registration code will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Launch Ashampoo Office and you'll be greeted with a registration splash screen -- just click on the "Enter Key" option, add the code from the email and your full version will be unlocked.

PC Tools Spam Monitor 4
Click here to go to this month's PC Tools registration web page and enter your details in the registration form, ensuring you enter a valid email address, then click "Request Free License". An email from PC Tools detailing your licence name and code will be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Now install PC Tools Spam Monitor from the PC User cover disc, then run the program and click the "Register" button. When prompted, enter the name and code from your registration email and click OK.

Microsoft Office 2010
Update: This registration page has expired.

Click here to go to Microsoft's Office 2010 Beta registration page. You'll be asked to enter your Windows Live ID. (If you don't have a Windows Live ID, it's free to sign up at the Windows Live web site). Once logged in with your Windows Live ID, you'll be redirected to the Office 2010 Beta registration form. Accept the default email address (your default email address for Windows Live ID) and fill in the rest of the form. A Product Key will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Note that you don't need to download the software because it's on our cover disc this month. Go back to PC User's cover DVD and install the Office 2010 Beta, using the Product Key emailed to you. Hurry! Registration for the Office 2010 Beta expires on March 5, 2010.

Quicken Personal Plus 2010
Update: This registration page has expired.

Go to http://www.quicken.com.au/pcuser/ and follow the instructions, filling in the form entirely, then click "Download Trial". Your Trial Key will be shown on the next page. Print out or cut-and-paste the key into a document to refer to later (and keep as a backup). Note that you don't need to download the software because it's on our cover disc this month. Go back to PC User's cover DVD and install the Quicken Personal Plus trial, using the Trial Key provided in the registration process.

No registration required, just install from our cover disc and enjoy!

Now install MegaView from the PC User cover disc, run the program and select the Help > About > Enter Reg Key menu. Cut and paste the registration key from the Xequte email into the dialog box as prompted by MegaView, and the full version will be unlocked.

PC Tools Desktop Maestro 3.0
Click here to go to this month's PC Tools registration web page and enter your details in the registration form, ensuring you enter a valid email address, then click "Request Free License". An email from PC Tools detailing your licence name and code will be sent to that email address. Now install PC Tools Desktop Maestro from the PC User cover disc, then run the program and click the "Register" button. When prompted, enter the name and code from your registration email and click OK.

No registration required, just install from our cover disc and enjoy!

PC User YouGrab 2 and PC User RockPod 3
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to changes made by YouTube after our cover disc went to press, the version of YouGrab 2 on the January 2010 disc does not work. However, we have a new, working version available for download. We also have a non-critical RockPod 3 update available for download. See page 66 of our January 2010 edition for the links to these two downloads. Note that you'll need to install RockPod 3 from the January cover disc first, before installing the RockPod update. However, the YouGrab 2 download is a standalone executable file -- don't install YouGrab from the cover disc. No registration is required for either application.

Ashampoo Slideshow Studio 2010
Ensuring you are connected to the Internet, install Slideshow Studio 2010 -- during the installation process make sure "Get full version key" is checked, and your Web browser will go straight to the registration site. Xequte Smart Pix Manager 7.07

Legal Toolbox SME Basic
Click here to go to Legal Toolbox registration web page. Complete your details, ensuring you enter a valid email address. A password will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). When you have completed the online registration form, you will be taken to a page with a Download link on it. Click the link to download the Viewer software and then install it on your computer. When you run the software you will be prompted to enter your email address and password. Once this is done you can use the application. Remember that this is software as a service (SAAS), so although you need the Viewer software installed on your PC, you will need to be connected to the web to use the main application.

PC Tools Internet Security 2009
Go to the PC Tools Internet Security page on the PC User cover disc and take note of the Coupon (Promotion) Code. Now click here to go to the PC Tools registration web page. Enter your details in the registration form, ensuring you enter a valid email address and the coupon/promotion code from the PC User cover disc, then click "Request Free License". An email from PC Tools detailing your licence name and license code instructions will be sent to that email address. Now install PC Tools Internet Security from the PC User cover disc, then run the program and click the "Register" button on the main screen. On the Registration screen, enter the licence name and licence code received in your email from PC Tools and click the "Register" button.

PC User Upgrade Advisor 2010, UserBench Encode, UserBench UT3 Demo and PC User Perfect PC
No registration required, just install from our cover disc and enjoy!

Remember that B-free is software as a service (SAAS), so it is run from the web, not your computer, and you will need to be connected to the internet to use it.

i.on my business
Click here to go to the i.on my business registration web page and complete the registration form, ensuring you enter a valid email address in the form provided. An organisation code, user name and password will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). In the email is a link to the business login page for your business. Click the link and enter your username and password. Remember that i.on my business is software as a service (SAAS), so it is run from the web, not your computer, and you will need to be connected to the interest to use it.

PC Tools Internet Security 2009
Go to the PC Tools Internet Security page on the PC User cover disc and take note of the Coupon (Promotion) Code. Now click here to go to the PC Tools registration web page. Enter your details in the registration form, ensuring you enter a valid email address and the coupon/promotion code from the PC User cover disc, then click "Request Free License". An email from PC Tools detailing your licence name and license code instructions will be sent to that email address. Now install PC Tools Internet Security from the PC User cover disc, then run the program and click the "Register" button on the main screen. On the Registration screen, enter the licence name and licence code received in your email from PC Tools and click the "Register" button.

PC User Ripping & Burning Toolbox and PC User Perfect PC
No registration required, just install from our cover disc and enjoy!

October 2009

WebSite X5 Smart 8
Go to the WebSite X5 Smart page on the PC User cover disc and take note of the Registration Code. Ensuring you are connected to the Internet, install WebSite X5 Smart from the cover disc – be sure to select the Install Registered Version option and then, at the product registration step, click the Unlock button. You will be taken to a registration website – type in your email address and click Send. This will take you a second web page – complete your details, including confirming your email address, type in the Registration Code from the PC User cover disc into the Product Code field, and click Send. An Unlock Code will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). Copy and paste the Unlock Code from the email into WebSite X5 Smart's installation screen and click Next to unlock the full version. When you have installed and launched the WebSite X5 Smart DO NOT click the Upgrade option. This will install a limited trial version over the top of your registered version. If this were to happen, uninstall the program and reinstall it.

Ashampoo Uninstaller 3
Ensuring you are connected to the Internet, install Ashampoo Uninstaller 3 from the PC User cover disc. During the install process you will see a checkbox entitled "Get Full Version Key". Click this and your Web browser will go straight to the registration site. Here, enter a valid email address in the form provided. A registration code will then be sent to that email address. (If you don't receive the email please check your junk email folder, as these emails are sometimes picked up by spam filters). When the program is installed, launch it and choose Enter Key in the dialog that appears, enter the key into the dialog and click Save Key. When your key will be validated, unlocking the full version.

NEO Free
Ensuring you are connected to the Internet, install NEO from the PC User cover disc. During the installation process you will see an option to "Get NEO Free Licence" – click on this button, and you will be taken to a registration website. Type your First Name, Last Name and Email address, and click the Get License button. This will automatically unlock your licence for the free version of NEO.

PC Tools Internet Security 2009
Go to the PC Tools Internet Security page on the PC User cover disc and take note of the Promotion/Coupon Code. Now click here to go to the PC Tools registration web page. Enter your details in the registration form, ensuring you enter a valid email address and the promotion/coupon code from the PC User cover disc, then click "Request Free License". An email from PC Tools detailing your licence name and license code instructions will be sent to that email address. Now install PC Tools Internet Security from the PC User cover disc, then run the program and click the "Register" button on the main screen. On the Registration screen, enter the licence name and licence code received in your email from PC Tools and click the "Register" button.

UserOS Extreme 9.04 and PC User Virtual Machine Shop
No registration is required, but make sure you read the tutorial on page 34 of this month's PC User before installing our operating system.

September 2009

Windows 7 Release Candidate

Enter your details in the registration form, ensuring you enter a valid email address and the promotion/coupon code from the PC User cover disc, then click "Request Free License". Now install PC Tools Internet Security from the PC User cover disc, then run the program and click the "Register" button on the main screen. On the Registration screen, enter the licence name and licence code received in your email from PC Tools and click the "Register" button.

Ashampoo Burning Studio 2009 Advanced
Ensuring you are connected to the Internet, install Ashampoo Burning Studio 2009 Advanced from our cover disc. During the installation process, make sure "Get full version key" is checked, and your Web browser will go straight to the registration site. Here, enter a valid email address in the form provided. Then launch Burning Studio 2009 Advanced. You'll be greeted with a registration splash screen -- just click on the "Enter Key" option, add the code from the email and your full version will be unlocked. (This splash screen also gives you the option to get the registration key, if you missed this option during installation).

PC User Virtual Machine Shop 2 SE
No registration is required, but make sure you read the tutorial on page 62 of this month's PC User before installing Windows 7 RC using PC User Virtual Machine Shop 2 SE.
