Why can't I get the Hotmail address?

I would like to get the email address CrAzY_JoNs_@hotmail.com but it says it is already taken. I invent this name so why it is taken?

 It's been a long while since I registered a Hotmail address, but I assume it follows the same rules as most email addresses. That is. it isn't case-dependent.
In other words, you can hit that shift key till the cows come home, but it's still crazy_jons_@hotmail.com and if that is already taken, then of course you can't have it. Passwords, on the other hand, ARE usually case dependent.
In fact, all you'll do is confuse your friends by making them think they have to type ThAT_RuBBiSh_. Paul Zucker

(Don't forget that there's more than one free email service. If Hotmail doesn't have what you want try another such as GMail. (Try it yourself. It's either available or it isn't.
