Did I buy it twice?

Monday, 29 June, 2009

I think I purchased Norton Antivirus twice but I'm not showing anything on my computer showing it.

Sheila Hodge, ,

You probably wouldn't see anything Sheila.

I assume you mean that you bought it twice on-line, is that correct? If you had two shop-bought copies sitting on the shelf you'd know - right?

So the fact that you bought two copies on-line simply means that you were silly enough to pay twice for the one thing.

Your first step is to check your credit card statement, as you may find that only one sale went through.

If it did go through twice, contact the supplier and explain and ask them to reverse one sale,. If they won't contact your bank and ask them to reverse the second sale.

Mmmmm yea.Norton's Phoooooooeeeee
When I first joined the wonderful world of"www" back in 1999,I think the first AV that was set up on the PC was PCillin or something like that. I then swapped over to VET,didn't like that and finally went over to Nortins which I was pretty happy with for 3 yrs.
I decided once to download a new version on-line. Imagine my horror, when it stopped at 92% I had to restart and then Norton's decided to charge me twice.I had to supply a statutory declaration that I had uninstalled it from my PC before I could get any sort of a refund. Since about 2005,I've used one or another free AV and never had any complaints :) Sorry about being so long winded but I had to get my $50.00 worth :)

(Sorry Tony, that's $100. I read it twice. LOL -PZ)

You could pay for Nortin Anti-Virus 10 times and it still wouldn't work. Andy:)

(I thinkl I'll get Symantec to send you a copy Andy. Perhaps it's improved since you last tried it. -PZ)
