What is a DVI Port and what can I do with it?
Can I attach my DVI port to a non flat screen TV?

 A DVI port is a way to convey a digital video signal to a monitor without having to downconvert it to analog.
When you say "flat screen" I imagine that you mean a thin screen monitor. In other words, you want to know if you can feed it into a standard CRT TV. Almost certainly NO. That's because the CRT TV is only analog, so wouldn't know what to do with the digital signal. But you wouldn't need to worry about it, because it wouldn't have a DVI port anyway, so how would you connect it?
Probably the cheapest way to get a large picture from that port is via a video projector. (starting at less than $1000). Otherwise, there are 106cm Plasma screens for at little as $1700.

For example, my 7900GT has two DVI ports and no VGA ports built in; however, it came with two DVI-VGA adaptors and my 19" CRT runs beautifully on it... looking at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVI#Specifications , it would appear that DVI can carry analog RGB and related signals as well as digital, although there may be devices that don't have a DAC and thus don't provide analog video... My advice for ben would be to check the device's manual as it may have a definitive answer and instructions - if it's a video card i'd be looking through it's packaging if you have it as well, might be a vga adapter there...
