I will connect everything? Yes?
Saturday, 29 May, 2010
I'm using a Samsung Syncmaster 2494hs .24 inch monitor.
It has DVI, VGA and HDMI inputs. The problem is it says in the manual that to connect both dvi & vga in the same computer.
I only installed dvi cable. If i installed the VGA cable with it.
Can i have a better resolution . or the same or what?
Michael Amir, ,
I'm not quite sure what you're saying Michael, but this is the situation.
VGA is analog and is good quality.
DVI and HDMI are digital and the best quality on that monitor. (However, most people wont notice a lot of difference compared to VGA).
You can't use both VGA and digital connection at the same time -- it has to be one of the other. This will be set on the monitor's menu.
Read you manual properly -- don't jump to conclusions.

AndrewPosted: 02/06/2010 re: I will connect everything? Yes? You could connect each input to different machines and you could select which computer is displayed on the screen by changing input ToddPosted: 02/06/2010 re: I will connect everything? Yes? I connect both.... to two seperate computers!!! Ahhhhhhhhh lol Cheap easy way to share a monitor between a server and a workstation. JohnPosted: 31/05/2010 re: I will connect everything? Yes? I think he's confused because of the Samsung manual.
"When both the DVI (digital) and D-Sub (analog) cables are connected, you can select the input signal (analog/digital) by pressing the
button."
Why you would connect both I have no idea.
