Printer pauses after each page

Thursday, 29 October, 2009

How to manage my printer, because if there are some pages to be printed, it will stopped, and start running after strike enter (OK) key.

Regards

Before I answer your question can I say that it made me realise that there's a problem I hadn't thought of before..

Since you're Indonesian, I assume that you've learned English at school. But I'm also prepared to bet that your printer doesn't display its error messages in Bahasa Indonesia.

The fact that you have to press a button to print each pages after the first tells me that there's almost certainly an error message or an instruction to you on the printer -- either in the form of a light or on an LCD screen.

Read that message as it will almost certainly tell you what the problem is. It could be something as basic as the printer expecting paper that it doesn't have loaded.

If that doesn't work, disconnect and then uninstall the printer, download the latest drivers, reinstall them then reconnect the printer.

If that doesn't work you should contact the printer manufacturer for advice.

Good luck

re: Printer pauses after each page
Could be that the page size set for the document is not the same as set for the printer properties, i.e. using A4-sized paper when the printer is set to print letter or some other size. I've experienced this with an older printer - and had to press the CONTINUE button after each page printed.
Cheers.

(True. Hence my advice to read the front panel. -PZ)
