Call 1-866-672-4551. That is the billing department. If you have the paid service with Hotmail, they can actually reset the password for you. If you don't have one yet, go to gowindowslive.com/hotmailplus and sign up for the paid server as long as you have your password. If you don't just try and convince them that your email was hacked and that you need to reset your password and willing to pay for the paid service of $19.95 / year. Have a good day everyone.

i can't go into my email

i have an email which i visited all day long. yesterday noon i visited it last time. my next approch was at night, about 6-7 hours later than my last login, and it asked me for my password. i wrote it but, although it was right, it was not accepted. the same happened when it asked me my secret question. so, somebody hacked my email, password and question both. does anybody has a way to communicate with hotmail to tell them about that? i do not want to use the link above because i do not trust anyone.

I have both Yahoo and Hotmail and recently I've fallen away from my hotmail account so much.... until I sent myself a "risk free, work from home stater kit" advertisement. I logged into my hotmail account and saw that I had a huge list of people I'd 'sent' spam to. I've since changed the password and I'd really rather not shut the account down, but I'd really like to know how this happened and how I can keep it from happening in the future. I NEVER write my passwords down and I generally use very hard ones so I'm a little stumped as well as peeved.

Hotmail need to remove this addresse from this commercial bus company who provides buss cards. I cant get email from the company so i can check the balanse on my buss card, i forgot password once and can only receive my password on my hotmail.com adresse wich is somehow blocking it. Please hotmail staff, fix this option. I get 25% on each bus travel i take due to this.

Wow,PZ, just tried reading the amount of 'requests', from users who have either had their Hotmail 'hacked'-stolen or simply lost.
I gave up, less than half-way through.
Why?
Most have had their Hotmail account 'hacked'....possibly for a very good reason.
They haven't kept their PC up to date.........with all the 'security updates' Microsoft does issue...on a very regular basis.
To prevent such 'hacking' from taking place.
It's either that, OR, something more simpler..........they are running an 'Illegal version'!.....of the Microsoft OS, and CAN NOT get these vital updates.
As for those who have had their Hotmail account stolen.....by a spouse/friend/whoever.......well, all I can say, is,

"The security (the lack of, actually).....of your PC......is testimony........to your gross stupidity!"
(They got what they so richly deserved.......the loss of their Hotmail account.)

3 days ago, i couldn't sign in mail, windows live and facebook (it is registered on the live mail). I tried to sign in over and over and over and over and someone has hacked my accounts, because my password is the same on the 3 accounts and i remember it well. I tried to reset my passwords, first on the mail than on the windows live than on facebook. It was written that instructions will be sent on my alternative mail which i think i listed ****@yahoo.com. I believe that most of these people are having the same problem as myself. I received an email from someone that said they were hotmail staff and needed my user name and password and country. I gave it since it looked like it came from a hotmail staff account. Since then, everyone in my contact list was sent an email that says I am in London and need money. Be advised that you should contract everyone you have on your contract list and tell them if they receive an email from your hotmail account that it is a fraudulent email and not to respond to it.

Well, when I forget my passwords (which I tend to do alot), I Meditate, relax and dig deep In my brain till I find it (understand how my mind remembers stuff and look for it, it helps to try remember: when did I create the password, what are my previous passwords etc...)i usually get it after 6-7 hrs of trying■.i think that■s easier than begging for it from strangers.

What if you set up a site where all these people who have problems with hotmail could email you their passwords, secret questions and any other personal and valuable information for future reference. They obviously think you have mystical powers and know all!! you could charge a modest fee of, say $1.00. You would make enough in the first week you could retire very comfortably.

URGENT!!!!

I am writing to you again in regards to my email account. I had it hacked at the beginning of January 2009. There were abusive emails sent from my email account which resulted in ASIO visiting my house and asking for me.

I am in the process of reporting it to the police and I need your assistance in providing me the IP address(es) of the computers which were used to get into my email and send the abusive emails. The dates which I will need the IP address is from the beginning of January until 19th January. If possible, could you also forward the emails sent from my account?

If you are allowed to only disclose the contents to the police, then please let me know so I can get the police to contact you.

ummm it says a lot about hotmail users...although I am one,BUT I also have a real email address, it comes with my service provider. If things are so so important, use a real EMAIL system...Outlook and Express are already in in your OS and you're already paying for it.

(Hi Tina. As far as I know the only thing you can do is try the "Forgot my password" option on Hotmail. There are options on the Hotmail site to send in a question such as yours but I'm not sure that you'd get an answer. Did you provide an alternate email address when you registered? That's one way they can help you - by sending your password there. -PZ)

Forgot my own name - please help

I have forgotten my own name and worse, my dog's name. See my dog set up my hotmail account for me but used his own secret question for my account. Since I forgot his name, I can't get his attention to ask him the answer to the secret question, since I forgot my name I don't know who I am. By mistake i had auto saved my password on a public computer someone has changed the password & secret question and has been sending obsecn mails to all my contacts Please advice how do i stop all this cause it is getting just to embarassing as he or she is sending mails to my professional contacts also . hope to recieve a solution for u guys asap ..

so i tried to log into msn for like 3 hours and it wouldnt let me ijust kept trying then it finaly went in. i told my friends what happened and turns out, the same thing happened to them. i just wanted to know what the hold up could ov been.

I contacted Hotmail by phone who said unless I had a premium (paid) account, I could only use the online help function. If you're getting annoying emails, perhaps be a little more careful with giving it out. It is difficult, some reputable organisations have put mine online in rgisters and I had to get pushy so they would remove it but for the most part, I pick who I give it to carefully and am "lucky" to get one pice of real spam a month.

Those free email addresses are not to be respected as a very good alternative to email address provided by ISPs. They have a very high chance of recieving SPAM. So use those services as throwaways and use your ISP-provided one for real personal and business use.

The easiest way to get rid of the annoying emails is to change your email address. You can do this at the Hotmail Web site. Also close the existing one.
