How can i change my Hotmail name?

That is, the one that appears after "From" when you send an email.

I just went in and tried this with my Hotmail account..

When I logged on to Hotmail I found a button called "Options" towards the top right of the screen.

Inside that I found my way to another option called "Profile". It listed my first and last names.

As an experiment I changed my name slightly and then sent an email. It arrived with the new name, so that's certainly one way to do it.

That method would suit most people. If there's another way perhaps someone will write in to tell us.

But anyone who uses Hotmail regularly should check out the options available. We get an incredible number of questions from people who obviously have never even bothered looking at the options available in Hotmail. The same applies to any other free email service.

You can't expect people to hold your hand all your life - do something for yourself for once.
