For those who haven''t caught up with the news, Australia has started broadcasting digital radio in some of the capital cities. This is the same system that is in use in many European countries (or will b e when they upgrade to the latest system).
Receivers cost as little as $130 and up to $2000 in Australia.
And yes, you can receive a form of digital radio on your Foxtel box, but this is quite separate to the new service. In other words it's something that Foxtel has been broadcasting for quite a while, and the number of stations will be different on both services.
And yes, in most places where the ABC and SBS broadcast digital TV they also broadcast a couple of radio programs that can be received on digital TV set top boxes. But again, these aren't the same as digital radio.
