Will the DVDs play?

Monday, 08 February, 2010

Will my DVD burner burn DVDs that will play inside my regular DVD?

Jeffrey , ,

Some readers are now yelling "Well try it you ning-nong".

You have the burner and you have the DVD player, so try it.

The basic answer is that any current or recent DVD player should play the discs. The early models had problems playing recorded DVDs but nowadays you'd expect to be able to play them.

But just try it,.

re: Will the DVDs play?
Keep in mind that when burning movies to dvd, you need to use a dvd creation program like Nero, DVD Movie Factory, DVD Flick or similar that can convert the mpg files to the dvd format before it can be viewed in a home player.

re: Will the DVDs play?
Most DVD burners , these days will burn those DVDs, Jeffrey.
Just watch out......for any that have MORE than 4.5 Gbs.
You will need Dual-layered 'blanks'......if the DVDs exceed this limit.
You will equally need a DVD burner ....capable....of burning these Dual-Layered blanks.
Quickest way.....of burning the DVDs, is................"Copy Disc." (if you're using NERO, that is......make certain that you have selected the DVD option,1ST. Otherwise you will get a message, saying, like .........'wrong medium being used'.)
