Internet time-wasting (is fun)
Saturday, 16 August, 2008
Madge Blenkinsop showed me a fun Internet add-on the other day. It learns what you like and takes you to unusual sites when you need a diversion.
Can you remember what it;'s called? I can't and Madge already thinks I have senile dementia so I don;t want to ask her again.

There are lots of fun web sites that offer diversion for the bored PC user. They're probably not a good idea to use at work though, especially if the boss is tracking your PC use and productivity.
Anyway, one great service I've been playing with lately is StumbleUpon. When you sign up for this free service it loads a toolbar in your browser(s) and then asks some questions about your interests. You're also invited to join as a member, much like other social networking services such as Facebook.
It's quite addictive. I'll go and hit the button and show you what it takes me to now. Hang on a minute. ...

Here it is:

Anyway, try StumbleUpon as it's a lot of fun.
Do any readers have similar services they'd like to share? Paul Zucker
