Where can I get the audio driver?

Tuesday, 06 May, 2008

How can I install audio driver for VGN-FJ77C/R

HELP PLEASE

Mary Jane Raboy, ,

A Google search for that number reveals that it's presumably a component of a Sony Vaio notebook.

Since you have the notebook, I'd suspect that the driver is either contained on the operating system setup CD or contained on the hard disk, perhaps in a hidden partition.

If you can't find it that way then you should look for it on your local Sony web site, in the Support section.

Why do you need it? If it's because you've installed a new operating system, then you probably need more drivers than just that one.

If it's because the sound isn't working, then I'd try this first. Go into the Device Manager find the device and delete it. That will force Windows to rediscover it, and hopefully it will also discover the driver.

If all else fails you could ask Sony the question via the web site,.
