The AVerMedia HD HomeFree Duet is the least expensive network TV tuner we’ve tested. It plugs directly into a wired network and contains twin digital TV tuners to let two locally networked PCs (either wired or wireless) watch live TV simultaneously. Setup consists of plugging the Duet into a TV antenna and your network, then installing a driver and app on your PC(s) — the whole process takes about 10-15 minutes. It works just like a regular TV tuner: the TV app lets you watch standard-definition (SD) and high-definition (HD) TV channels, time-shift and record shows.
